We welcome guests from near or far to visit our shelter to see our wonderful

selection of adoptable cats and dogs. There is a one page application to complete when a pet is chosen. We require our adopters to be 18 or older, have a photo ID, and will be able to care for the pet at their home. Our staff will interview each potential adopter to determine if the pet is a good fit for its new family. Our goal is to have happy pets and happy pet parents.

 

Pet Adoptions of Cuero has a large fenced bonding area so the pet and adopters will have plenty of time to get to know each other. We recommend if you are wishing to adopt, to bring the entire family to experience the joy of selecting the perfect pet pal. If there are other dogs or dog in the household, please bring it to the shelter. This will give your long time family pet an opportunity to also help choose the new pet or companion roommate.

 

Pet adoption donations vary by size and type of pet and will be explained when the pet is chosen. The shelter accepts most credit cards, cash and local checks.

It is a wonderful opportunity to give a homeless furry friend a second chance at happiness by becoming a full time member of your family. Shelter hours are Monday thru Sunday 8 to 12 noon or we will be glad to accommodate your adoption visit at your convenience any time of the day or evening.
